An annual tradition within our parish, the FunFest this year will be held on the first full weekend in June: Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd, 2019!
This will be our 14th year running this event. We kick everything off on Saturday evening with our NiteFest from 6PM to 10PM located under a tent in the Our Lady of Grace parking lot on Willow Avenue! There is always plenty of entertainment: music from our great DJ, lots of cheer from our Biergarten and great food -- Bernadette's kitchen is back and so are the Spanish ladies and their empanadas!
The fun continues on Sunday with our FunFest from 11AM to 6PM in and around Church Square Park. The park will be filled with children and adults enjoying numerous activities like children's rides and games, pony rides, experiencing the specialties of local food/retail vendors, and more!
However, each year this event needs to be managed and we are always looking for help! We are fortunate to have had over one hundred volunteers in years past, and each and every one of those volunteers was needed.
We’re asking you to spare a few hours on Saturday or Sunday, whatever day and time works for you! Volunteers usually help with set-up, clean-up, serving food, selling tickets, working the games of chance and the children’s events.
Being a volunteer doesn’t take that much time and it’s a good way to get involved and give something back to your community.
You’ll also get the chance to meet some of your fellow parishioners and have a great time! Part of the joy of living in a small community is getting to know those individuals who are a part of it. It’s so nice when you can walk down the street and say hello to someone you know. So come out, meet some of your fellow parishioners and have a great time! We hope to see you there!
